Boob juice is what my husband and I call breast milk and in the past week, boob juice supplies have taken a serious dip. I’ve always had oversupply which although frustrating when you soak through your third shirt of the day is generally a good problem to have. In the last week, the pendulum has swung in the opposite direction and I now have a fussy baby who is trying to eat all the time and not much to give him. It’s heartbreaking to know I’m not making 100% of what he needs. We haven’t supplemented with formula, but he is now eating every hour and I’m on the herbal fix while drinking tons of water and pumping intermittently. I think our main problem is that with everything I’ve got going on, I don’t have much time to relax which I think is what I really need. Here’s hoping the herbs work and I get a few minutes to breathe in the next few days!

I’m sorry about your supply issues…not fun, but totally normal. If you have a spare moment these cookies are great! If you make the bar version it’ll save you tons of time.

Hope things start to improve
Oh dear, so sad you are stressed. Hang in there. 6 months is also time for another one of his big growing spurts, so this is somewhat common too. One thing I learning in my training which has been so helpful is to set my phone alarm to chime hourly to remind me to stop and breath for 2 minutes. I literally set the timer on my phone for 2 minutes and just belly breath. Baby can breath with you!!!
All the best to you,
Sending lots of milky thoughts your way…my go to was ice cream…lots of it…helped me keep my milk supply up
oh and oatmeal!
That’s my problem! As I got closer to my pre-preg weight I dropped my evening ice cream and replaced with non-fat frozen yogurt, guess I need more ice cream! Thanks, I’m trying that tonight!!!
