When I was a kid, holidays were just about us, we didn’t have to do chores, or eat healthy or do anything we really didn’t want to do. I wasn’t spoiled, holidays were always a really big deal in my house. Mother’s day was yesterday and we spent most of the day shuttling around to the different families to make everyone happy, it really struck me that once you become a mom, there is no such thing as a day to yourself or a day where you can just relax. As much as you may want to and as hard as your husband tries, there is still laundry and cleaning and other chores that just must get done, mother’s day or not. I’m so happy to be a mom this year and honored to have little man in my life, but someday soon I’m hoping for a free day
