How come it seems that as soon as you start showing people around you lose their filters? A few days ago I was picking up some more plants for my garden and a woman came up to me and my son, who was in the Ergo, and proceeded to rub his head which was very far into my personal space, not to mention when was it acceptable to come up and touch other people’s children? This same woman eventually went away and we ended up being right in front of us in the check-out line. She then proceeded to tell me that my son was almost too pretty to be a boy…um thanks? It’s so interesting to hear the things that people feel the need to share sometimes, this seemed like a funny enough instance to share.

I hear ya about touching other peoples children, it drives me crazy! I have M in the ergo a lot and people will still come up and touch her, hold her hands, touch her face, one person even kissed her! Its awkward and I haven’t figured out what to say/do yet when it happens; I even had one person say “your baby is too serious” as the lady was touching her face and she was giving the lady the ‘stink eye.’
